What If Learning An International Education Resource Site

What If Learning is a transatlantic project exploring what teaching and learning might look like when rooted in Christian faith, hope, and love.

The What If Learning site is powered by a single dpanel installation but available in both US and UK variants, with unique content and navigation structures designed for each distinctly different region.

Bespoke Module Development

The site is powered primarily through a bespoke dpanel module allowing the team to manage their range of over 200 examples and strategies, each of which contains both US and UK versions of the content, title and image.

An important feature of the site was the ability to highlight different examples for each region, as well as provide different navigation structures tailored to the audience — all of this is powered through the dpanel CMS.

The site also includes a custom javascript popover for bible verses, linked from within the text using shortcodes, which the module then converts into full text bible verses on the site - a complicated process made incredibly simple through the dpanel.

Custom Branded PDF Generator

A large part of the culture of education is the use of printed worksheets and examples. To help in this area, What If Learning includes a custom PDF generator with What If Learning branding on each page and styles optimised for print.

Each PDF is cached as a downloadable file to improve the user experience and page load times, with a new version only being generated if the page has been updated since the last download. This keeps the site snappy and easy to use.
