The Malt Cross venue is a large victorian music hall with much of it's original decor still in tact. When re-developing their site they wanted that same oldie world feel to be translated to their new online home whilst communicating the range of events they host.
The design rests heavily on photos of the interior with the homepage bookshelf and interior page border derived from a series of photos of the wooden cafe bar panelling.
Bespoke Events System
A large part of the Malt Cross' appeal is in it's variety of events and range live music. The site's homepage communicates the diversity of these events with a bespoke extension of the dpanel news/events module, including image overlays for each events and individual event pages.
Charity Giving Links
Besides being a café bar, live music venue and art gallery, the Malt Cross team also oversees a large amount of charitable work in and around the city, including Street Pastors and Safe Space. To support these projects their site includes links directly to their charity giving pages via our site content module with Just Giving.
