Rhema Church London Contemporary, Modern, and Fresh, Purpose Built Church Website

In need of a strong web presence that complimented their style and activities as a Church, Rhema Church London sought out diffuse in early 2011 to develop a contemporary, modern, and fresh website to represent them online.

The site was to use a clear but understated colour pallette allowing each page to have it's own branding, specific to the ministry, it also included a number of advanced content management features including a news feed, audio embeding and podcast support (including a valid iTunes format podcast feed).

Page by Page branding

Keen to provide each page with it's own identity Rhema opted to use proffessional photos with a branded overlay as the masthead of each page, defined via the dpanel CMS. diffuse also created a series of page templates for the Church, allowing them to use a layout specific to each page, as well as being able to edit the sidebar content via the dpanel site content module's inteligent placeholder system.

Audio Embed and Podcast Feed

Like many churches Rhema Church London records each of their Sunday talks and wanted the ability to both embed them on their site and release them as a podcast. A custom audio player was styled to match the branding of their site.

When submitting a podcast to iTunes the feed has a tightly specified format that must be folllowed exactly and the audio files are hosted by the podcast's producer, rather than iTunes, this makes creating and publishing a podcast a complex process, however the dpanel's podcast module makes things as simple as uploading a file and adding some details about the author, date and where the file is stored. It couldn't be easier for Rhema to publish their podcast than via the dpanel.
